Meet The AACS Staff
Our staff will become your child’s mentor, teacher and friend.  All American Cheer & Stunt is operated by professional cheerleading coaches. The AACS instructors are enthusiastic and talent trained with cheerleading skills and safety in mind.
The majority of the staff has participated in a competitive All-star, college or professional cheer squads. 

 

 
 

 

Staff Members

JJ Johnson
This is JJ’s first year coaching with AACS cheer.  He was with Skywalkers in Topeka.  In 2008 JJ was a member of AACS SR Heat team who performed at the cheerleading Worlds.  He is now a member of the new International open coed team at AACS.  JJ will be working with recreational classes as well as the AACS Cheer teams. JJ loves cheer- he is still doing Individuals while at cheer comps and is proud of his standing full, running double, his super jumps and dance ability.  We are excited to add JJ to the AACS staff.
JJ is USASF certified in coaching tumbling levels 1-5.

Kayla Cowell
Kayla has been a Cheerleader for AACS since the doors opened. She is the daughter to the Coach/Owner of AACS.
Kayla is an All Around Cheerleader. 
Kayla assists her mom in many ways in the gym from working in the office,teaching classes, and helping coaching the AACS cheer teams.
Kayla has received Best AA cheerleader, Best Leadership, and other awards while at AACS.
She was a cheerleader and Captain at Blue Valley North High School and earned the Rookie of the year award in 2006 and Best AA Cheerleader award in 2007.  Kayla was also nominated for  NCA "All American"
In the summer of 2006 & 2007.  In 2008 she was named Top All American for the entire camp.   Kayla has been on the Worlds team the past 3 years. 
Kayla is USASFcertified coaching in basket tosses, stunts, and tumbling levels 1-5.

 

Karisa Cowell- Also known as "Peanut"
Karisa is also the daughter to the Coach / Owner of AACS.  Karisa is a very talented cheerleader displaying many advanced cheerleading skills.  She has received many 1st place honors in Individual and Group Partner stunt Categories at Competitions as well as voted as one of the gyms Best AA Cheerleader yr after yr.
She sets the standards and goals for many others in the gym. She is also an excellent tumbler achieving her double full and standing full and  two BHS’s to a double full on the floor.
Karisa also cheers for her High school team and is Captain.  She was named the top 15 All American at NCA camp this summer.  Karisa helps with Recreational classes & AACS other teams. 
Karisa is USASFcertified in coaching basket tosses, stunts, and tumbling levels 1-5.

Gil Santiago
This is Gil’s 1st year at AACS.  Gil was a competitive All Star cheerleader in HS and cheered for Coffeyville College.  He now is a member of AACS International coed team.  Gil is known for his outstanding tumbling skills and is a great All Around cheerleader too.

Gil works part time with AACS cheer teams and is cheering and attending Avila University.  We welcome Gil to the AACS staff.

 

Jamie Frentrop
This is Jamie’s 2nd year with AACS.  She works with our Mini Star team and also helps with recreational classes.  Jamie cheered for AACS for 3 years and has 9 years of cheer experienced combined with Rec, All Star and High school.  Jamie is USASFcertified in tumbling Levels 1-5.

Charlie Cox
Charlie is a member of AACS Sr Limited coed team level 5 and was a level 10 power tumbler.  This is his 2nd yr with AACS cheer.  He helps with Rec classes and level 1-4 teams as well as helps out on the Party side of the business working events.  Charlie also is Varsity HS cheerleader for Lee Summit HS.  He is invloved in Track too.
 

 Mallory Bolin

This is Mallorys 2nd  yr with AACS.  She works with Minis and level 2 teams as well as helps with tumbling classes.  Mallory is USASF certified in tumbling levels 1-5.

 

 

Dave Beck

This is Dave’s 3rd year at AACS.  Dave was a KU cheerleader and also works part time with AACS cheer teams.    Dave is excellent at coed partner stunting and Dave is also on the International Coed team for AACS called Blaze!  He works for UCA in the summer and just graduated from KU in 2010.  Dave will be in and out of the gym this season.

Dave is USASF Certified in tumbling levels 1-5.
