2008-2009 Tentative Competition Schedule

America’s Best All-Star Super Nationals
Fort Worth, Texas  March 8-9, 2008

Senior 5 Heat
The Senior 5 Heat team received a bid to attend Worlds, the team’s second year in a row to receive a bid to Worlds.  The team started out the season as an all girl squad; however, this competition was the first time to compete as a coed squad.  The squad recently became a coed team due to injuries and looks forward to adding more males to the AACS Cheer teams in the future.

American Championships
Kansas City, Missouri  December 1-2, 2007

Large Junior 4
The Large Junior 4 squad finished in 2nd place.  The team had an excellent performance on Day 1 positioning themselves in 1st place going into Day 2.  However, there were several cheerleaders that fell ill on the second day so we had to make some last minute changes which dropped them to finish in 2nd place.  This is a very young squad overall, so we were very pleased to see them be flexible and still make a great performance.

Large Senior Open
This was a tight division and they did great considering this is the first year of cheer for the majority of them.  This is a new group of girls and we are having fun watching them learn more about the sport and what to expect.

Spirit Spectacular
Kansas City, Missouri  October 28, 2007

This was
AACS’s first competition of the season.  All teams got their nervous jitters out to get ready for the 2007-08 season.  We received some excellent feedback and was very proud of all our teams.  All AACS teams received 2nd place finishes.

The results below are from 2007 season.

Worlds - Cheerleading Worlds
Orlando, Florida  April 25-28, 2008

AACS competed in Large Limited Coed.  This year at Worlds they chose not to split this division into small and large.  However, we were told next year the USASF is looking to split this division at Worlds to make for a more fair competition for small teams attending.   We ranked 36 out of 58 Limted coed small and large combined  and 5th out of all Small Limited coed teams attending worlds after day 1.  We were very excited about our performance at Worlds.  The AACS cheerleaders walked off the floor very happy!  It was a great way to end the season.  Both parents and cheerleaders were very pleased and enjoyed fun times together at the Disney Parks.
